I had uninstalled Norton 360 a few days ago in favor of PCTools Spyware Doctor with Virus due to some nasty virus downloading through IE7 and Norton 360 couldn't find and/or He can still play his online games. Restoring to a previous point fixed the problem but my son then accepted an automatic update and of course he has no connectivity through both to mail in Outlook (Exchange Server and also IMAP server) continue to work. **Update: Existing RDP connection (port 3389, Windows Remote Desktop) continues to work as well. I will never buy Norton after this. I personally like the Ad-Aware SE Personal one (it's free), but there are many out there or they can upgrade their virus protection to include spyware. HP are fools to allow Norton to screw up their otherwise great machines. I have played with my firewall settings to no success, and the command prompts have not fixed the problem. I had Norton 360 on my PC for the first year of me owning it, but as soon as my subscription ran out I uninstalled Norton and switched to AVG Free; Even if you do not use Norton there are often some parts of the program built into Vista.
