Then tried them on a friends and didn't works so found your post and presto chango it's magic. Ive not been able to use the mic since I bought the phone a few weeks ago. It worked for me. But the qtip worked!

NOTE: it was set at 0 all the way to left showing a grayed line; moving to right will show a blue line, (also note! It's all to do with lint!
