So you need to turn auto-brightness off via your Vaio setting. always has been im told you have to do a clean install and get rid of all the sony propreitary software(they decided to re-invent the wheel) the newer intel graphics drivers IMPORTANT- reinstall the HotKey Utility application and the Sony Utilities Library.
