It is interesting however, that in the root window in the VNC session the window manager (twm) DOES get the right mouse button events because the menu I created for it When I exit twm the problem is still there, for my particular app, which is Motif-Zmail. It gets more interesting, in one windows where you right click an item in a list to get more details, right click actually works. In another where you right click to get a menu it doesn't.
