If those don't work, maybe the vnc programs are somehow remapping or blocking the function of the tab key. Help! It seemed to work intermittently when I changed the above config files but has reverted back to not functioning anymore. What is this word problem asking? Cause: You're using Gnome, aren't you? changing focus using tab key.I don't know. I uncommend the lines below in my local bashrc configuration and also in bash.bashrc, but nothing changes.
